Public bug reported:
Trying to install Ubuntu-Mate 16.04.1 to a Dell 7559, pre-paritioned a
Samsung EVO 850 500g SSD, so using the "something Else" option. This is
very repeatable, very annoying. Have noticed many times the Swap
partition is mounted if I look with GPart when using the Try Ubuntu
option. As Swap is on an extended partition I think it excludes all
other partitions:
SDA #1 /Boot 8 gig Primary
SDA Extended:
SDA #2 SWAP 4 gig
SDA #3 / 50 gig
SDA #4 /Temp 4 gig
SDA #5 /Home 120 gig
I get an error message: [Errno 5] Input/Output error. Then some text
saying could be faulty media.
I've tried reburning the USB stick many times, ISO's are torrented and
SHA1 & MD5 Checked.
Using legacy Bios mode.
Have had some success with "erase disk an Install" so using the whole disk, but
then have other problems.
