Public bug reported:

Using 0.19.18-1, as distributed in Ubuntu 16.10, .m4a files fail and
flood the log with this message:

> Nov 19 15:00 : ffmpeg: decoding failed, frame skipped: Invalid data
found when processing input

This bug was reported to mpd (https://bugs.musicpd.org/view.php?id=4564),
passed upstream to ffmpeg (https://trac.ffmpeg.org/ticket/5781)
but bounced back to mpd and fixed here:
http://git.musicpd.org/cgit/master/mpd.git/commit/?id=05de0ecec3ef32a04ffcf91fe7c690529735d59f

Is there any chance of pulling that change into the Ubuntu version, or
upgrading to 0.19.19?

** Affects: mpd (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
