For no apparent reason, gnome-shell crashes about once each day but
recovers after about two or three minutes allowing me to continue
working.
I can't offer any explanation as to what I might me doing that causes
the crash but on this occasion I was performing a system update using
synaptic. chromium and gnome-terminal were also open.
