Hello cariboo, or anyone else affected, Accepted hexchat into yakkety-proposed. The package will build now and be available at https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/hexchat/2.12.0-2ubuntu2.1 in a few hours, and then in the -proposed repository.
