Booting with "acpi_backlight=vendor", the brightness keys do nothing, and the gnome brightness slider breaks.
The /sys/class/backlight/intel_backlight/brightness file still works. I don't know if it's important, but the "max_brightness" is 7812, which might be an unusual range. Setting brightness to 8, as recommended by the workaround steps, makes the screen way too dark to see anything. I usually have it at about 4000 or so. Anyway, I'm attaching the "vendorbacklight" and "lslabacklight" files that where generated, and I'm going to test the atkbd.softraw-0 parameter next. I'll report back with it's results. ** Attachment added: "vendorbacklight" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1651629/+attachment/4794923/+files/vendorbacklight -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1651629 Title: [Asus X200MA] Brightness keys don't work.
