** Description changed:

  hello,

I'm trying to make hibernation work on my computer with Gutsy. On this
particular computer it does't work since Gutsy beta testing and updates.
It was working fine before with Feisty. Other computer work fine to.

  - I have discovered that hibernation from init 1 level works fine, But not
from init 2 with GDM.
  - I have changed driver from fglrx to ati. But I have same problem.

When I try to hibernate from Gnome, computer starts hibernation, harddisk is
running some time. And after few seconds, cap-lock and scroll-lock leds
are blinking together. After that, can't get control from computer. CapLock
key is not active.

don't know how to recover from this problem.

- update : in init 2 (graphical mode), I run sudo /etc/acpi/hibernate.sh
- and It works fine. So this may be an hal-script problem for ubuntu-
- gutsy.
+ update : in init 2 (graphical mode), I run sudo /etc/acpi/hibernate.sh and It
works fine. So this may be an hal-script problem for ubuntu-gutsy.
+ update2 : I have resolved this problem with editing
/usr/lib/hal/scripts/linux/hal-system-power-hibernate-linux and calling
directly /etc/acpi/hibernate.sh.
+
+ don't know how to debug hal-system-power-hibernate-linux ; sh -xv hal-
+ system-power-hibernate-linux >> /var/log/hibernate.log does not produce
+ anything, perhaps because of buffering.
