I wonder about the last message thou - have you an ipv6 only setup or anything 
like it?
Otherwise as outlined before maybe just the config of smbd/nmbd is in a bad 
state.

I've seen several reports like this, but since it is not reproducing
from the default install it usually is related to some sort of custom
config. Unfortunately that was often done months or even years ago.
