And on a side note, I looked at the logs myself. Apparently, the upgrade didn't finish because of a 240s timeout on the terminal. Is this expected behavior?
I personally feel that it isn't good if it is. I expected to be able to walk away and come back to an upgraded system, or have it fail gracefully. I can no longer do an update because some of the packages are up to date the update-manager no longer sees anything not being correct, even though the process doesn't fit. I would think that it should back out changes if it's failing, or not timeout to allow the user to give input. Or, just let the error windows fly as separate process or whatever and let the process continue separately. ** Attachment added: "dpkg.log.1" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/10046476/dpkg.log.1 -- Update from Feisty to Gusty fails in multiple packages https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/152813 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
