This looks similar to what I have. Starting from the menu, F-Spot hangs and cpu runs full. The second time I started it I Got the following error while a dulled f-spot window shows:

All was well. I came back here on the laptop and tried again from terminal. Terminal fills up with failed attempts to get a connection to dbus. I added a new user and tried again there: all went well. Going back to the previous user I did a restart just in case... no better. I've been updating 7.10 since tribe 4 and everything else seems fine so far. The only strange bit is that this morning I installed RealPlayer following this document: http://wiki.ubuntu-it.org/RealPlayer/Amd64 All went fine, but I've noticed that it installed ia32-libs-kde and changed ia32-libs-gtk to ia32-libs. Now I don't thin this is relevant to the case. I just thought I 'd better mention it. -- F-Spot doesn't start (Ubuntu 7.10 Beta) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/149291 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
