I appear to be getting this bug when trying to start gnome 2.18 on
FreeBSD 6.2 ( actually PC-BSD 1.4 ). The two screens seem to get locked
up while a "looping situation" continually draws white bands across top
and bottom of the two screens, which then crash and disapear, re-
appearing after 30 seconds or so. The only way out is to crash X using
CTRL/ALT/BACKSPACE. The only diagnostics I can get are by going in with
ssh from another BSD system and using "top" . This shows gnome-panel
taking 95% for some time then wnck-applet appears taking 97% for ages
then it blows up and the loop restarts ..
