Wearing my ~ubuntu-server hat, I didn't understand why we were seeding this, so I did some archaeology.
It looks like it was originally seeded in http://bazaar.launchpad.net /~ubuntu-core-dev/ubuntu-seeds/platform.zesty/revision/400 for desktop purposes into the generic "supported" seed, and then moved during a restructure in http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~ubuntu-core-dev/ubuntu- seeds/platform.zesty/revision/1171 to the supported-misc-servers seed where it currently resides. I think this was done in error and should have been moved to a desktop seed. But desktop don't have it installed by default. It's also far less relevant nowadays so it probably does make sense to drop it, but I don't want to pre-empt ~ubuntu-desktop in making that decision. Note that mdbtools-gmdb is also seeded in supported-sysadmin-desktop. Presumably both can be dropped. So no objection from ~ubuntu-server. Dustin, subscribing you FYI, but given that we were seeding this in error, I presume it's fine from a ~canonical-server perspective. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1667195 Title: Drop mdbtools-gmdb from main To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mdbtools/+bug/1667195/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
