The problem are these two lines: E: The repository 'http://ppa.launchpad.net/cairo-dock-team/ppa/ubuntu xenial Release' does not have a Release file. E: The repository 'http://ppa.launchpad.net/cairo-dock-team/weekly/ubuntu xenial Release' does not have a Release file.
Delete /etc/apt/sources.list.d/cairo-dock-team-ubuntu-ppa-xenial.list Look in /etc/apt/sources.list and /etc/apt/sources.list.d/ for any lines that mention the cairo-dock-team PPAs and remove those lines. You don't need them since the latest version of cairo-dock is already in Ubuntu 16.04 LTS. Unless a PPA maintainer specifically publishes binaries for a Ubuntu series (like xenial), trying to enable the PPA for that series won't work. Then try to run those 3 commands again. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1678265 Title: After running ppa-purge it report apt-get update failed To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ppa-purge/+bug/1678265/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
