Public bug reported:
The egg-info metadata shipped with this package claims it is version
0.18.0, which means that Python programs with specific pylxd dependency
requirements described in setup.py fail to recognize that this package
contains recent enough code.
This appears to be due to:
debian/rules:6:export OSLO_PACKAGE_VERSION=0.18.0
which doesn't seem to ever have been updated in the git packaging branch
since the initial import, but the bzr packaging branches (e.g. lp
:~ubuntu-server-dev/ubuntu/wily/python-pylxd/trunk) seem to indicate
that it has been in the past.
Simply removing that line and rebuilding yields a package whose metadata
looks vaguely correct, but there may be other side-effects I haven't
considered.
Given the version number, this bug probably affects xenial, yakkety,
zesty, and artful, although I've only examined yakkety and zesty.
** Affects: python-pylxd (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
