Public bug reported:

The touchpad is not recognized at all by the OS. I should say that it
has a built in print sensor which works in Windows without problem.

I am using a fairly new Eluktronics laptop, with an NVidia 1060 video card. 
Don't know if it matters but 
I have seen that this configuration comes with a lot of problems.
