I would personally opt for the removal of goget-ubuntu-touch as we don't have any maintainer of it since at least one or two years - and no one will really pick it up. My only concern is ubports users as they're still using the tool to flash their devices with the community-based ubuntu-touch. This for sure still shouldn't make us want to maintain it, but I'd like to at least reach out to the community and see if they can take ownership of the tool.
The most feasible solution I would see is to move the goget-ubuntu-touch source package to a preferably ubports-owned PPA and then removing it from the archive so that we're not blocked by it any further. This is possible even now as I see their magic-device-tool wrapper adds the ubuntu-sdk-team PPA when looking for ubuntu-device-flash. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1699928 Title: Please delete obsolete android binaries To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/android-tools/+bug/1699928/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
