Hi jjangga, the log doesn't hold more information than failing to start the service which one can't assist you much more. In general the service need to be started on install (or restarted on upgrade) and that seems to fail.
You can check $ systemctl status tomcat8.service For more details waht is faiing and resolve the issues. Once the server is starting correctly it will also upgrade fine in future. You can also provide that log output here.
