I gave up on trying to fix the errors. I have been running the Netflix Desk
top and I have installed the version of wine to go with. I believe that the
updates that either/both Ubuntu or Firefox sends that are the problem. Let
me know if you want the whole procedure for installing the desk top. One
warning: The desk top does hog a lot of resources, but reloading the page
often cures the problems.
