a) Since there is no ESM avaiable for xenial, enabling esm fails:

apt-get update commands will continue to fail like above until ESM is
disabled with "sudo ubuntu-advantage disable-esm".
b) MOTD is unaffected by esm, enabled or not, since we are not running
on precise.
