I started to read books translated from English first. I started with
Harry Potter, actually (check your local library/Amazon). If you'd
rather something more "native", I'm really fond of "La biblioteca de
Babel" by Jose Luis Borges. It's a short story but it's definitely a
challenge (and a fun read!)
