KSystemLog asks me for sudo password and after a little configuration the kern.log is displayed comfortably. In my latest ubuntu Installation the gnome-system-log can be fully accessed with normal rights. Although I set for my user the rights to watch the system-protocol I have to access with sudo. This issue exists since beta installation of Gutsy a month ago. I updated everything but this is still the same. But it's not a big problem. Thank you very much.
