I experience exactly the same problem. I didn't committed any doc.
I only installed qemu, and virt-manager, as usual. * There is no reason for them to not work * There is no reason for them to enforce a new screen-sharing protocol (spice or whatever) to me * There is no reason for them to do this with bugs * There is no reason for them to cause mystical error messages with these bugs * And there is no reason for them to not fix these bugs years long. Because I've faced the same problem many years ago.
