Your dpkg history shows:
Start-Date: 2017-10-06 18:21:17
Commandline: apt-get install virtualbox virtualbox-qt virtualbox-ext-pack
Requested-By: veeti (1000)
Install: libgsoap8:amd64 (2.8.28-1, automatic), virtualbox-dkms:amd64
(5.0.40-dfsg-0ubuntu1.16.04.1, automatic), dkms:amd64 (2.2.0.3-2ubuntu11.3,
automatic), virtualbox-ext-pack:amd64 (5.0.40-0ubuntu1.16.04.1),
virtualbox:amd64 (5.0.40-dfsg
-0ubuntu1.16.04.1), libvncserver1:amd64 (0.9.10+dfsg-3ubuntu0.16.04.1,
automatic), virtualbox-qt:amd64 (5.0.40-dfsg-0ubuntu1.16.04.1),
libqt4-opengl:amd64 (4:4.8.7+dfsg-5ubuntu2, automatic)
So you manually installed virtualbox using apt-get. This should have
prompted you to make changes to disable secureboot on your system in
order to make the virtualbox kernel module usable. Do you remember
being prompted about this? The errors suggest that you did not answer
this prompt, but the log also doesn't suggest that the virtualbox
package failed to install at that time.
