In an MSDOS partition table, partition 5 is the first logical partition,
which you can install to just fine.  Since you are booting with UEFI,
you must be using the GPT partition table, which has no
primary/extended/logical mess.

Please run sudo parted -l and send the output so I can see how your disk
is partitioned.
