xclip is the current primary runtime dependency:

py2: xclip | xsel | python-gtk2 | python-qt4
py3: xclip | xsel | python3-pyqt4

pyperclip will auto-detect and choose xclip over gtk so I don't think
there is any action to take here; we could drop gtk from the
alternatives list, but if its going to stick around in universe anyway
it does not feel worth maintaining a delta from Debian.
