Public bug reported:

Electrum has been available in Debian since 2013 I think.
Its is currently available from Debian Wheezy backports[1] upto Debian
unstable.[2]

As Ubuntu is based on Debian why is it not in current Ubuntu
repositories?

It seems to have been in Ubuntu 14.04[3] but has gone missing.
I'm on Ubuntu 17.10.

Thank you.
