@anthonywong Thank you for your reply. Please allow me to say that after
contacting Lenovo to request support and notify them about the current
problem, they clearly stated that they are unaware of the issue and that
absolutely no report has been made to Lenovo. This is what worries me.
They refuse to acknowledge that something is wrong, and the only
solution they suggest is that the motherboard be replaced on affected
systems, as Linux is not supported.

Many educational institutions use Lenovo computers in their computer
labs, running Linux. At the moment, all these computers are inoperable
and students cannot use them.
