I'm not sure where in your dmesg you are seeing this "hang". I see three
places where the kernel stops outputting messages for a short period.

6 seconds after mounting the rootfs (could be initramfs preparing the
root filesystem and executing init).

9 seconds between netfilter and ACPI.

16 seconds between drm loading (presumably X starting) and some
filesystem on dm(lvm?) being mounted. Probably not related.

The 6 and 9 second hangs are pretty short, and are likely because your
hardware has to initialize before it continues. IMO, this is more
because of the linear way that the boot process works than because of
the kernel.
