I've checked if it's the same behavior as Matt described in <a
href="https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1734271";>bug #1734271.</a>
I can't reproduce his behavior. The desktop works again with no limitations. I
supposed that the freezing event is dependent on other input conditions. I'll
check if my problem is reproducible.
