How to reproduce:
 - access UEFI setup, set "Boot Mode" to "Legacy"
 - boot the Ubuntu installer, start installation
 - choose "Erase disk and install Ubuntu"
 - leave all settings on their default value (do not use LVM)
 - Grub will fail to install
 - a window pops up, asking you what do
 - the installer freezes immediately
Tested on Acer TravelMate B117. Expected to see the same behavior on similar
Acer branded notebooks.

Please note again that I am not complaining about the installation
failure; installation indeed succeeds in UEFI mode. The topic of this
report is the crashing of Ubiquity.
