Hi Simon,

if someone is really planning to work on this, sure, I can spend half an
hour and collect again all the locale-specific issues that Ubiquity
currently has. I've already filed a few related bug reports for 18.04.

But if this is just about "automatically closing a few old bugs to lower
the bug count", then me spending half an hour to reconfirm, when noone
plans to work on fixing it, that would actually harm Ubuntu, because it
will waste user's time and will make them less willing to respond in
future bug reports where the developer actually plans to work on them.

That's exactly what happened to me; over the last 10 years I've already
spent more than 100 hours replying to "scripted requests", only to have
the bots re-ask me 2 years later, with no developer ever manually
participating in the bug report.

So personally I've decided to ask for a developer's "yeah I'll work on
this if it still happens" before I spend more time on re-verifying bug
reports; on the other hand, if it's about automatically closing old
bugs, let it expire, I've done my share of the task when I initially
reported the issue.

Cheers!
