Test kernels with the fix are available here: http://people.canonical.com/~tyhicks/lp1759920/
You most likely only need linux- image-4.13.0-38-generic_4.13.0-38.43+lp1759920.1_amd64.deb and linux- image-extra-4.13.0-38-generic_4.13.0-38.43+lp1759920.1_amd64.deb You should test that kernel without the noibpb and without the apparmor=0 kernel command line options, and with the latest intel- microcode package. When replying with testing feedback, please include output from the following commands: $ cat /proc/version_signature Ubuntu 4.13.0-38.43+lp1759920.1-generic 4.13.16 $ cat /proc/cmdline BOOT_IMAGE=/boot/vmlinuz-4.13.0-38-generic root=UUID=c80800af-5af4-4235-9181-c366ef91c246 ro quiet splash vt.handoff=1 $ dmesg -t | grep -i microcode microcode: microcode updated early to revision 0xc2, date = 2017-11-16 microcode: sig=0x406e3, pf=0x80, revision=0xc2 microcode: Microcode Update Driver: v2.2. Thanks again for all of your help.
