This problem exists since the upgrade from kernel 4.15.0-15 to kernel
4.15.0-20.
I just received an update from MintUpdate that reinstalled this kernel
4.15.0-20 and now it works again.
It's just a problem when I put my G35 headset on a USB port and remove
it. By doing this 2x operation (plugging in and unplugging the 2x
headphones), I find myself with the sound set to "S / PDIF Internal
Audio Digital Output" instead of HDMI / Display Port 3 HDA Nvidia " but
is a lot less serious problem.
