I have attached the output of "dpkg -l | grep linux | grep extra". The output of that command was the same across both kernels 4.13.0-43-generic and 4.13.0-39-generic.
An important thing I would like to add is: the problem I had mentioned regarding black screen, low-graphics, dialog boxes, and no wifi happens 9/10 times in kernels 4.13.0-43-generic and 4.13.0-41-generic. But, 1/10 times those kernels boot absolutely normally, and wifi also works at that time. It seems to me that maybe sometimes the OS cannot detect certain things (devices/drivers) during boot-up. Could this be due to a virus or hardware problem? Thanks! ** Attachment added: "dpkg -l | grep linux | grep extra" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1770108/+attachment/5149491/+files/dpkgOutput.txt -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1770108 Title: No wifi in 4.13.0-41-generic To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1770108/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
