I have applied the patch (in my Gentoo system) and have intensively tested it.
Not even a single crash since 3 weeks ago. I do a lot of moving and renaming
every day and I always try to do it differently to trigger any crash, but
thunar has become really robust.
It seems that we can close this bug, if the others agree.

Off-topic (sorry): For the sake of God, please do not lose the usability
of XFCE components over any other thing. Let it be the sole DE that
prioritize the usability. Who cares about porting to GTK3? I am sure
that a lot of people prefer a zero-bugged XFCE in GTK2 rather than a
bug-ridden GTK3 port. Please kindly focus on closing as many bugs as
possible first. We have much time for porting things later.
