As Kaltsoplyn stated before, enabling indirect rendering gets rid of the leaking !!! I enabled it via the compiz-icon and the usage immediately shrunk back to only 25MB and it stays stable.
btw, The leaking only happens on my dell latitude d620 , which has an nvidia card with 128MB of video, and not on my desktop with a 256MB videocard. Enabling indirect rendering also took a away the black-window bug in the past on my notebook. So we have the same workaround again..seems like the leaking and the BWB is somehow related -- Memory leak in nvidia-glx-new's GL_EXT_texture_from_pixmap https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/151168 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
