@ferconsigli - thanks for reporting your issue too. Much appreciated! >From the specs for a Lenovo Legion Y720 they seem to be using 7th Generation Intel Core processors - is that what's running on your Lenovo Legion with the suspend problem?
In an answer to matalak's question, cascagrossa said: I believe it is the buggy nouveau driver. Try adding: nouveau.modeset=0 to GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX in the /etc/default/grub file, after that run: sudo update-grub sudo reboot One of the comments said that it worked for them and others. I don't think that it will fix it for you but I'm curious to know if it means your laptop will still fail to suspend but in a different way ;) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1774950 Title: Suspend fails in Ubuntu and Kubuntu 18.04 but works fine in Ubuntu and Kubuntu 17.10 (and on Kubuntu 18.04 using kernel 4.14.47) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1774950/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
