Alright, well I had removed and reinstalled virtualbox several times,
each time doing more research into "update-secureboot-policy" as
inspecting the process tree revealed it was hanging on install.
Unfortunately, I don't know if I finally disabled something else that
was broken or what. Is there something different about installing
virtualbox-dkms directly that would have caused it to work?
