Good day, All. New bug report had been sent to Acer Support with request to fix ACPI in BIOS # 180810-001559 I hope to get a reaction from ACER Support:(
QUOTE Dear All, Good day! This message is addressed to BIOS programmers of Acer laptops. New Linux Kernel is not booting with default parameters due to error in Acer Laptop ACPI BIOS of my ACER Nitro AN515-42. Latest BIOS installed v.1.08 didn't fix the problem. To make linux boot possible I've been forced to make extra boot parameters to GRUB ivrs_ioapic[4]=00:14.0 ivrs_ioapic[5]=00:00.2 And still there are some error messages in gmesg log- See attached. I hope this file will help to identify error in your BIOS and fix it with new BIOS patch to laptop. Thanks in advance.
