I'm just trying to make Ubuntu better. I'd like to stay as close as possible to the default Ubuntu experience instead of switching to a more pure gnome-session, and I'm saying that it would make it easier for users to select a consistent theme if Ubuntu included the Adwaita gnome- shell as an option so it can be selected via gnome-tweak-tool instead of Yaru, ie including it in /usr/share/themes. That way, I expect the user shouldn't need the user-themes extension.
Alternatively, perhaps Ubuntu could remove Adwaita-dark and the other themes from /usr/share/themes and only ship Yaru to make it even less convenient for users who want to theme their desktop differently from the default. That would also fit in with the gnome 3 philosophy of removing as many convenient features as possible! ;) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1788547 Title: gnome-shell notifications use Yaru theme even if Yaru is not selected To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/yaru-theme/+bug/1788547/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
