Reproduce.
1. Make sure bitmap fonts are allowed e.g. by deleting
/etc/fonts/conf.d/70-no-bitmaps.conf
2. Install xfonts-100dpi-transcoded
3. Search for Lucida font - there is none:
$ fc-list | grep Lucida
---
Solution:
install xfonts-100dpi instead of xfonts-100dpi-transcoded.

If xfonts-100dpi-transcoded has no effect by itself, shouldn't it be
marked as depending on xfonts-100dpi?
