So, I've decided to check the new firmware. I installed Windows 10 (wiping out my Ubuntu install in the process), installed Lenovo Vantage and installed all firmware updates that it allowed me to, including touchpad and trackpoint firmware.
Then I installed fresh new Ubuntu 18.04.1. One good thing is that the installer allowed me to use touchpad and trackpoint properly (they did not work the last time I was running the installer, had to use external mouse). Unfortunately, longer suspend (like through the night) still kills touchpad and/or trackpoint. And even the "none"/"reconnect" trick doe snot bring them back, neither does rmmod and modprobe on psmouse (module (which used to be a working solution at some point when S3 did not work). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1791427 Title: Touchpad and/or trackpoint stop working after S3 suspend on Lenovo X1 Carbon 6th To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1791427/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
