i hit CTRL+ALT+T to open a terminal - this is how it opens..

please note:  My display only shows the right half of the display - the
panel menu icon at bottom of monitor1 (my top screen) is far LEFT of my
display.

Walter on #lubuntu-devel suggested centering new windows; that would I
believe fix issue providing it also affected re-drawn windows; eg. the
firefox window in last attachment was already opened thus not new, just
re-drawn...
