Public bug reported: Hello,
I was pretty sure I already opened a bug for this but I cannot find it anymore, anyway here we go. I think that the "selinux" package should be removed from ubuntu archive, the package is not maintained in ubuntu anymore and it's not needed now that ubuntu has switched to systemd. And I'm wondering if it's not causing more issues than good with the initscript it contains. As for metapackage, debian has a selinux-basics package that also contains some validation scripts (that are not all working ATM since the switch to systemd) that is already in the ubuntu archive. Please note that I'm still thinking about renaming "selinux-basics" to "selinux" in debian for the metapackage at some point. ** Affects: selinux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1805350 Title: Please remove selinux package from the archive To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/selinux/+bug/1805350/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
