Beginning of the start-up error messages:
Kernel panic - not syncing VFS: Unable to mount root fs on unknown-block(0,0)
I modified menu.lst to use version 43 (/boot/vmlinuz-4.15.0-43-generic) as its
first choice, version 43 still works fine.
