I'm not seeing how it is late for Gutsy since the source pkg is in universe? (i.e., for a bugfix patch)
http://packages.ubuntu.com/gutsy/source/gwenrename Additionally, for Hardy, wouldn't this have to be delayed because there is no alpha release of it yet? If not, I wouldn't know how to go about it. Replace "gutsy" with "hardy" in diff? Here is the Gutsy patch with the changes implemented (changelog/patch path). This time it applies with -p1 from within /gwenrename dir (not sure what difference it makes in any case). I have created the patches using "debuild -us -uc" and "debdiff ver1 ver2 > diff_file" on a normal Gutsy install without chroot but I don't have all the other fancy Debian package managing stuff installed so maybe that is why it isn't coming out as expected. That is the way I have always done patches though. I would appreciate it if a maintainer could take a look at this patch. ** Attachment added: "gwenrename_1.1~beta1-0ubuntu2_try3.debdiff" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/10358598/gwenrename_1.1%7Ebeta1-0ubuntu2_try3.debdiff ** Changed in: gwenrename (Ubuntu) Assignee: xtknight (xt-knight) => (unassigned) Status: Incomplete => Confirmed -- package gwenrename None [modified: /var/lib/dpkg/info/gwenrename.list] failed to install/upgrade: trying to overwrite `/usr/share/icons/hicolor/32x32/apps/gwenview.png', which is also in package gwenview https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/140012 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
