/var/lib/samba/usershares needs to have these permissions and ownership:
Access: (1770/drwxrwx--T) Uid: ( 0/ root) Gid: (
113/sambashare)
i.e.
chmod 1770 /var/lib/samba/usershare
chown root:sambashare /var/lib/samba/usershares
And this is done when the package is installed:
if [ ! -e /var/lib/samba/usershares ]
then
install -d -m 1770 -g sambashare /var/lib/samba/usershares
fi
If you or some tool changed it afterwards, a package reinstallation will NOT
change it.
