If you check the manufacturer specifications, at least for my model it
says "Maximum Battery Run Time 6 Hour" ofc this is not realistic, but 5h
is. I'm not saying that different OS's should have the same energy
behaviour but going from 6h -> 5h -> 3h and less as the battery material
degrades is not good. I'm not expert in linux internals but I kept open
the CPU usage graph in both windows and linux, and while the percentages
were very close with same usage the draining was faster. I didn't put a
CPU frequency graph though and I suspect the problem is there, that
linux doesnt put it in the lowest needed freq scale when not needed.
