Thanks for the report!
This happens to be fixed in the next version of cargo (I wasn't aware of
the bug before), so this will get fixed for everyone when that version
gets copied to the security pocket (which is due fairly soon I think).
In the mean time, you can install the package from https://launchpad.net
/~ubuntu-mozilla-security/+archive/ubuntu/rust-next/+packages to get the
fix earlier.
