Same problem here. I do not get any sound out of wengophone.

Installed package:
Architecture: i386
Version: 2.1.1.dfsg0-4ubuntu1

When I dial "1" I should get some dial tone. Instead, I get the
following on the console:

-----
(debug) std::list<AudioDevice, std::allocator<AudioDevice> >
find_alsa_devices(int): alsa_card_name: hw:0
(debug) std::list<AudioDevice, std::allocator<AudioDevice> >

-----

  aplay -D default /usr/share/wengophone/sounds/tones/jungle/sound_1.wav
and
  aplay -D plughw:0,0 /usr/share/wengophone/sounds/tones/jungle/sound_1.wav

both work (sounds like a sheep!?).
