You can install lightning-extension package on Linux Ubuntu Gutsy, the
latest stable ubuntu release.
Since you don't use thunderbird from official ubuntu repositories, we
can't confirm this bug in mozilla-thunderbird unless if you can
reproduce this problem with thunderbird from ubuntu repositories. Can
you install latest thunderbird and latest lightning-extension package on
Linux ubuntu Gutsy and confirm if you still have these problems?
